[A few minutes later ...]
Lucky for the dense fog patches ... nobody will see me ... / Until I know what happened here in the meantime, I'd better be careful what I say ... if they realize that I'm from space, people might think that I work for the Om-Ankh ... / I hope the antigravity parachute doesn't give it away already ... I wonder if the technology was ever developed here?

Almost there ...

Unbelievable! I'm standing on Atlantis!

@Lavabat: Ah, glad you noticed it. It's a bit subtle though IMO, I think I'll go up the contrast in a bit.

@Wolfie_Inu: Yes, it is hard to see in this one. Oddly enough though it is pretty clear on the page you posted on DeviantArt.

Well, I think Stargate established that the Atlantians were a race founded by the keystone cops.

After arriving in the Pegasus galaxy these intrepid warriors continued to use weapons that were ineffective against any and all of their enemies. Most of the early casualties of Atlantis were either destroyed by friendly fire or because the legendary McKay had to push a button.

Despite the ready availability of advanced technology invented by someone else and energy weapons that could render their enemies boneless if not a piles of sand. They continued to use weaponry that was totally useless.
