As dit bestaan, verwys ek daarna ...

Terloops, in paneel 3 is dit die skip wat in 'n grot lĂȘ. Mens kan dit nie regtig sien nie.

If it exists, I put in a reference to it ...

By the way, in panel 3 it's the ship lying in a cave. You can't really see it ...

[Two weeks later ...]
Ship Captain: Good ... we got away from the Om-Ankh blockade.
Crewman: Engines running at full efficiency, Captain. GN Particles at maximum.
Ship Captain: Right ... the rest is the computers' job ... we can only pray that somewhere out there, there's a habitable planet for us ...

[Eight years later ...]
Server error 500 - no valid response received from starboard engine control mechanism. No valid response received from hibernation capsule deactivation process.
Crew cannot be brought out of hibernation. Ship must land to prevent further system damage.
Hibernation functions can be sustained for another 11 000 years.
Wait for help from technicians.
Computer will now shut down.

[Ten thousand years later ...]

the shuttle lacks imagination in the design. I'm assuming it's either a government vehicle, or manufactured by a company that values efficiency over style.

That's the idea :) Basically, these ships were designed and built while Atlantis was getting nuked from orbit, so their design is a bit utilitarian. And as we see here, there were some unaddressed bugs in the engine technology ;)
